As the nation’s 21 million college students end their summer breaks and flood university campuses around the country, they arrive with more than just armfuls of dorm room posters and twin-extra-long sheets. By nearly all accounts, the current crop of undergrads is among the most driven and focused to grace the hallowed halls of higher ed. A recent UCLA study found that 86% of freshman said college is very important in order to get a good job, and 73% indicated that they value their degree’s ability to help them “make more money.
